The Cloud Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for all aspects of product life cycle management related to Onyx’s Cloud Services offerings, charged with driving profitable growth of the product portfolio by maintaining knowledge of market demand/technology trends, identifying and managing partners, and implementing strategies to drive efficiency in service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the product offering strategy and ensuing financial performance of Onyx’s Cloud Services offerings including market and competitor analysis, vendor negotiation, product roadmap, pricing & launch strategies, operational delivery optimization, financial projections and recommendations, and actions for improvement
- Lead and deliver product strategy, steering the direction of the requirements for new products and services, product improvements, and efforts to increase the efficiency of service delivery to key vertical markets
- Identify opportunities to generate increased sales volume, develop appropriate sales collateral, client and internal sales team campaigns, and define metrics for tracking product pipeline, revenue growth, and attach rate
- Drive timely and effective product implementation from both an internal and external customer perspective
- Monitor product performance on a monthly basis taking corrective action (e.g. pricing review, promotional program, analysis of sales) if the product is underperforming
- Work with engineering, systems design, and support teams to ensure that current and planned products are achievable and delivered to market according to the agreed specification
- Perform regular market analysis of potential vendors/partners while developing close working relationships with key portfolio vendors
- Keep abreast of the latest product and service developments within the industry

Requirements:
- Proficiency in SMB-focused technology solutions: IT managed services, information security, cloud offerings, collaboration and communication, networking, and end-user technology self-service tools.
- Strong analytical skills and experience modeling costs and revenue projections.
- Experience in high growth vertical markets including, but not limited to: Healthcare, Legal, and Financial Services
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders leveraging both written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational change management experience
- Ability to influence a bias for action.
- Strong process orientation and continuous improvement skills.
- High level of independence and proven ability to plan and prioritize.
